﴿فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ اللَّيْلُ رَأَى كَوْكَبًا قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لَا أُحِبُّ الْآفِلِينَ﴾ الأنعام/76

Then, when the night grew dark upon Him, He saw a planet. He said, “This is my Lord.” But when it set, He said, “I do not love those that set.” (Al-An'am 6:76)

When night fell upon Abraham, peace be upon Him, and darkness enveloped Him, he looked to his people to prove to them that their religion was false, for they worshipped the stars. Abraham, peace be upon him, saw a star and said—leading his people to embrace monotheism— “This is my Lord.” But when the planet set, He said, “I do not love gods that set.
